Skipping a south drive into Hastings MI, @WanderingWilbo dines at The Lake Pub, Lake Odessa MI.

The manager at the Mobil recommended the C&R family restaurant, but
family running this restaurant is home Sunday. The Lake Pub, and
there's only one lake and it is Lake Jordan, is also family run.
Waitress & the food & beverage manager are sisters and daughters of
the owners. Big plans are in works for a beer tasting October 6 and
the ticket price includes a buffet. This is the first time I've
knowingly drank a beer from Shorts Brewery, a really hoppy Huma. Food
is a cut above, and my steak is rubbed with a secret powder but my
steak sauce is from Aldi and tomato in salad is from a patron's
garden. There's a pizza place open, but 25 people have stopped here
for long tables, football on the telly and six taps of ordinary &
extraordinary beer. Wonder if any one here was visiting the many
antique shops, now closed.. I'll need to amble these streets to wear
off my beer. The young officer patrolling downtown is a fine looking
young man and I'm loath to spoil his day by making him pull me over.
