The confluence of the Cass, Shiawassee and Tittabawassee Rivers is marked by Green Point Island, Saginaw Michigan.

It is said that an Chippewa Chief held dominion over the Saginaw River
Valley and its tributaries, and he wore a ring to show a confluence of
three great tributaries of the Saginaw, the Cass, the Tittabawassee
and the Shiawassee. I could look up the name from an unofficial
source, but why not imagine the Chippewa presence that surely
inhabited the island before my eyes, Green Point Island. There's no
bridge out to island and boat launching is prohibited from Wickes
Park, where lawn is trimmed but most wooden signs are worn &
illegible. I would not have located this access without Google Maps
and GPS. Confluences are not as easy to promote as waterfalls or
rapids, so this geographical feature goes unmarked. Much of the
waterworld of sloughs, swamps & bayous are protected as part of the
Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge. Indian names can be deceptive in
Michigan since a man named Schoolcraft made up many of them. To be
fair, he married a Chippewa wife and addressed the Chippewa language
with scholarship, speaking, writing and defining it. Of the three
river names, Cass is clearly not an Indian name. It is the name of the
man who brokered many of the treaties, the concessions, that gave
European men title to lands around Saginaw. These will be revisted
legally in this generation. Cass is rumored to have set out bottles of
whiskey before a treaty meeting, a signing ceremony. He shattered the
bottles after "touching paper", the signing of names. I believe this
confluence was included in the first concession. I guess most of the
land across the Saginaw from me is held by GMC, and inactive. I would
love to know the name of the Cass River before the arrival of
settlers.

Also, I was wondering whether you do any private consulting? I'd be interested in hiring someone like yourself.
Dear Moderator, I hope you don't delete my post. I mean no harm, just being weird.
There was a story about this in our newspaper. People come to steal other people's content from blogs and then publish on their own sites.
I was once trying to write jokes, and it didn't turn out too well. I'm not the brightest lightbulb, and I live with my mom.
