It is the 60th day of summer. What is your summer end game? 34 days to fall. 17 days to Tuesday after Labor Day.

My friend and I were munching on orange snaps on the Howmet Theater steps, intermission of Boeing, Boeing. Make big plans for boating vacations. Make big plans for summer road trips. Make big plans for summer parties . Make big plans for soirees under a great tent amongst the paddocks. In the end, sharing a orange snap cookie, freshly baked by a entrepreneurial woman of Whitehall, as night is falling and feel gratitude for life. What happened in the world to bring me that moment, that friend, that cookie, all together at day's end? That cookie was as powerful as Proust's petites madeleines, a cookie that launched his writing of his magnum opus,  Remembrance of Things Past, if I allowed that cookie to work its magic. Maybe if I had a spot of tea to take with my crumb of that Orange Snap, but the Howmet Theater rarely serves Coca Cola, coffee or tea. It would be less than gratitude to moan about this.
