Lisa Rose,
It pleases me to report to you my first reading of the return of maple sugaring season. Chippewa Nature Center west of Midland Michigan is a great nature center with plenty of naturalist education. Plus, I think I could give them an award for mixing art and nature together. Clearly, worthy of your attention and perhaps, your personal visit to teach wildcrafting and how to run a wildcrafting CSA.
It might be fun to report the agricultural events in turn. The blossoming of the cherries to the arrival of the blueberries, to the falling of the leaves. Nature is awake again!
I am wondering if this is early for the sap to run? We've waited so long for winter to really crunch down. I have yet to walk on a frozen lake. And there's no news of fish slapping incidents from the ice fishing shanty towns.
 Sincerely,
 Wandering Wilbo
Rent-A-Sap Bucket at Chippewa Nature Center.
