It is very quiet in downtown Muskegon as the 3 PM visit of Rick Santorum is anticipated. I saw only a small allocation of seats being placed in the main ballroom. Patrick is sweeping the Third Street frontage as two Holiday Inn employees place seats in the ballroom. There is a police presence, but it is two officers picking up lunch at the Subway sandwich in the Chamber of Commerce building. Does the next President of the United States travel to this crossroads of Third and Western? The informal poll I have taken suggests that Santorum cannot beat the Romney and Obama warchests. The biggest question to my mind: will the Muskegon Green Men show?
