Wilbo Discovers a Co-Officing Facility in Downtown Grand Haven Thanks to a Painter and a Ceramicist.

Maggie Clifford-Bandstra is on an amazing campaign, opening up possibilities in Grand Haven space through art installation. She and her entourage have just installed her curated show in the Armory, open to the public for just one evening only, this coming Thursday. Immediately, the Loutit Public Library reached out to her for her second show, conversations ongoing. What really overwhelms this writer is the realization, "Grand Haven has a co-working facility"? Yes, and Maggie has discovered it, and has begun to promote it. Pity that it's only open during working hours, 8 AM to 5 PM. But still it's a sign of Grand Haven becoming a smart town. The closest co-officing facilities before this location were in Grand Rapids. What else will Maggie learn as she discovers walls to hang paintings upon? In other news, CindyCyndi D Casemier pushes on with a First Friday art walk with many major Washington Street retailers inviting her artists to set up shop in their spaces for first Friday. Talk to Steve andCarole Loftis from time to time and there's a bit of undeserved despair concerning all the money invested in Grand Haven Art Walk. In other words, has ArtWalk made a difference after five runs, 2010 - 2014? See how empowered are Maggie & Cindy because all the merchants & the community understand that powerful effect when art blends with downtown space. Keep up the good work, Maggie & Cindy. By the way, one can see Maggie's exquisite pottery on display at C2C Gallery in downtown Grand Haven. https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=307629579444337
