Forgive this unflattering picture of Brant and Cole, tonight's Acoustic Stew artists at One Trick Pony, Grand Rapids MI.

I am an after theater crowd of one. Brant and Cole have a robust sound, and I am very emotional listening to them sing and play guitar. The last set just wrapped up; now is the pause for the cause. I rarely call for a glass of wine or a pint by name. I simply allow my bartender to pick it out for me. Last night proved an exception. I ordered a bottle of Château Grand Traverse Riesling, and that bottle is the first bottle of wine I ever loved, circa 1983. I enjoyed this on deck of Michillinda Lodge, on the sand cliff above Lake Michigan, near Whitehall.
