I'm in Grand Rapids tonight not for fun unfortunately. My mother has been transferred from a hospital in Lansing to Saint Mary's in Grand Rapids. I drove here after learning of the transfer. I was only able to visit with my brother and his wife but not with my mother. My brother and his wife only gave me about ten minutes. She acted bored and he kept checking his smart phone. It could be said that my family struggles in the vacuum left after my father's passing.
She'll be staying at the hospital for at least two weeks. I'll need to visit tomorrow to get in touch with the case. The drive from Lansing to Grand Rapids was the first time she had been in a car in a month. She was just getting to see the fall colors as they were beginning to dwindle. My brother and his wife did not ask me to join them for dinner. After all the times I have taken them and their children to dinner, you would think they would invite me to join them even if I paid for their dinner. I am upset and I am petty.
It is very sad that tonight is the only night Bartertown cafe doesn't serve dinner. I could've used a cupcake
