Changes written up on the roadway, it is an end of the season change. I went looking for my favorite 24 hour blueberries and on M-45. Although the signs declared blueberries for sale ahead, the self serve refrigerator had been pulled back about 25 feet from the road. The refrigerator will not be vending blueberries at midnight again until July. Sad because I had taken Lake Michigan Drive instead of the freeway, hoping to have one more late night blueberry snack.
The Rendezvous is preparing for winter. More people will be coming into the Rendezvous and the owner is making The 24 hour restaurant look spiffy. New carpet has been laid in all the dining rooms. I take one look at that new carpet and think: I need to find another all night restaurant. This is as pointless as the remodeling at the Old Homestead bar in Norton Shores. Did the Old Homestead really need an interior paint job? Why apply coats of new paint to cover up all that old nicotine? then new carpet at the Rendezvous just makes me you nervous. I worry about spilling coffee.
