First time in the Knickerbocker Theater and I imagine I am sitting in Howmet of Whitehall, MI

We've got a lovely jazz group up on stage with not one but two
saxophonists. Pianist plunking out a solo on left and snare drum
keeping a cooll pace on the right. Amongst them, my favorite, a man on
a bass keeps it plucky. We are awaiting the arrival of Cristina Garcia
who wrote Dreaming in Cuban and probably really dreams in Cuban. It's
a spotty audience so far and I hope more people arrive. Maxine Kumin
gathered a full house. I am happy to report that two plays are
available ton ight within a short walk, one of them a never miss
favorite: Almost, Maine. Well, it's almost showtime for Ms. Garcia.
Hasta Luego.
