Have you ever seen Picasso at the Lapin Agile? It's a great Steve
Martin play that imagines a meeting between Picasso and Einstein. In
the play, Picasso pays for his meals with sketches on napkins. Marlan
Cotner hasn't reached that level of fame, yet, but it isn't for want
of great ephemera to collect. I wanted to steal this gem when I saw it
at Bookman during ArtWalk, but I snagged a photo instead. I understand
Cotner gives these items away to friends and acquaintances. Why not
frame them in inexpensive frames for now, to help us make a point?
