South African Shanty Towns are often the subject of the Wojton's
photographs. The couple are not jet setters capturing shots for sale
as stock photos or as tear jerkers. They are their brothers and
sisters' keeper, and this is how they keep their family in mind. This
is how we can keep our brothers and sisters' living in Third World
conditions in mind, too. I was fascinated to see how many participants
in ArtWalk employed their art to satisfy a deeply felt commitment of
religious faith. Many of the local churches in Grand Haven sponsor art
exhibits and shows. It's almost certain one or more with add their
spiritual home to ArtWalk 2011.
