Once a school house with one room, the yellow brick school stands alone among orchards and corn fields north of Ravenna and west of Sparta, Michigan.

The orchard land north of Ravenna, around Sparta Michigan has postage
sized estates with buildings from another century. I couldn't find any
date of this building or even the name of the school house or
district. Some of these older buildings are given to bachelor migrant
workers for harvest time housing, but I've not stopped to take
pictures of the men sitting on the porches or steps yet. This building
is boarded up and unoccupied, and although the lawn is kept neat, no
future purpose for the structure is suggested. I wonder about the
color of the brick, a yellowish clay color I've noticed for bricks in
the southern Ontario towns of London and Strathroy. I haven't seen
this color on many buildings around Muskegon, Kent or Ottawa counties.
I wonder if the bricks were shipped her from Ontario.
