What a beautiful and abundant year we had in the West Michigan Orchard this year, limbs full of fruit.

I took this picture on September 21, some place south of Apple Road,
north of Ravenna Michigan. As I drive through the leaden night of
January and study tree limbs, it is hard to believe branches groaned
with color and flavor. I guess that's why I take pictures and write
about them. To remind myself that in 70 days or less, we will all
share another miraculous spring, summer and fall.
