I've always wanted to hear music at Foundry Hall, a small concert venue in South Haven, Michigan

Friday June 24, 2011
7:30 pm  RED TAIL RING (Folk/Singer-Songwriter/Stringband)
Red Tail Ring is the musical brainchild of old-time-minded Michiganders, Michael Beauchamp and Laurel Premo. Whether rendering a traditional tune or one of their many original compositions, the duo infuses each song with musical imagination, haunting harmonies and instrumental artistry. On stage together they create something rare as they use every facet of their voices and instruments – including guitar, fiddle, banjo, octave mandolin, mandolin and jaw harp – to connect with audiences. Doors open at 7 pm. General admission seating; arrive early to reserve your spot. $10, $8 members. Get tickets at www.foundryhall.com800.838.3006, Foundry Hall (2-5pm, Mon-Thu) or at the door before the show. (more)

7:30 pm  CAMERON BLAKE, RUTH AND MAX BLOOMQUIST (Folk/Pop/Rock)
Cameron Blake has steadily become a staple in the Baltimore music scene with his poetic songwriting and charismatic performances. Reviewers have called his performances “evocative,” “brilliant,” and “beautiful” but his music has been difficult to categorize with its nods to ‘60s folk troubadours, classical arrangements, and pop hooks. His 2009 debut album, "En Route," received heavy college radio airplay, and the single, "On My Way To Jordan," won 1st place honors atourstage.com. Doors open at 7 pm. General admission seating; arrive early to reserve your spot. $12, $10 members. Pay at the door before the show. Suggested donation after 7:30 pm. (more)
