10 degrees Fahrenheit and Walmart no longer sells Wrangler Khakis in Muskegon MI.

I found myself whistling Climb Every Mountain from the Sound of Music. Maybe I am expecting Julie Andrews to sing in the sand hills. Or maybe the woman who played her in the Muskegon Civic Theater production of this hit musical. That Maria sang remarkably and memorably. Sound of Music contains a cheer up song that recommends "Simply remember a few of my favorite things" and then one won't feel so bad. When the dog bites? When the bee stings? When I'm feeling sad? Today, I shopped for clothing, and Muskegon has a choice of Meijers, Walmart, Target or Old Navy. Yes, I am aware of the Lakes Mall with several anchor stores. Going there reminds me I lived close to Twelve Oaks and Somerset once. Thinking about that makes me whistle Sound of Music Again. No Wrangler khakis at Walmart indicates that the store has given up dressing men for office jobs? That's the conclusion I'm making. Speaking about favorite things, I need to post this and drive home, get ready for the art gallery opening.
