Will the Shaw-Walker Building on the Waterfront in Muskegon @PureMichigan Survive Threats of the Wreckling Ball?

The irony is great here. The Shaw Walker has sections that risk being
knocked flat by court order. A fascia went up facing east, depicting
gears, a great design that didn't transfer well to a large location.
Plus, all the lower windows have fresh plywood, removing some
ephemeral yet quirky murals I remember since moving to the area in
2008. It's clearly a building with good bones; but the production
studio planned when Michigan spent 400 million on film incentives will
never happen. But wow. What the Watermark team accomplished with the
event center proves that crew knows how development is done. How to
get all those industrial floors upgraded is the question when there's
so much raw and unoccupied space in downtown Muskegon.
