This painting above the bar at Michigan House has lasted for decades, painted by a man who traveled from Germany. Michigan House in Calumet is a great tap room and restaurant, home of the fine beers brewed by Red Jacket Brewing. I have only one complaint about Michigan House. Michigan House has to stay open later than Nine of the evening.
The painter was hired by Bosch Brewing, and bars that served Bosch beers identified themselves with these imaginary scenes to look up to while lifting steins of Bosch into the air. I admire how energetically our men dance to keep the attention and companionship of a favorite fraulein.
