Mile 11977: This is an unforgettable fire. Wilboterria Three. Burns Township MI.

I have no idea what has gone into this fire and I am loathe to inquire. I have no say what will go into this fire and that irks me. It's the country and it's wet so no one is going to show up looking for a burn permit. Wondering why lighting of the fire didn't await until after dark. It's no disgrace to say my father had a firebug part of his personality, and we always burned our trash before pickup service became available. The idea of recycling didn't occur to us in the 1970s, although my father made weekly drop offs after county established a recycling center. Much of the metal we buried, and I am sure that's leaching in the water table. Added to that, my stepgrandfather burned insulation off copper cable he collected then sold to scrap yards, so I am sure we have PCB hotspots. Buried garbage caches are near all the farm houses; I bet they can be successfully mined for antiques and archeological finds. If you like old bottles, check ditches near farm houses.
