Marlan, I wanted you to know I have connected the dots. I tried to buy this painting from you in exchange for lunch, and you faithfully delivered this treasure to Theater Bar. I had on file a gift certificate for a good lunch for months and it remained forgotten in the register. Last Friday, as a show of Indie Rockers entertained a crowd at the Grand, I picked up a bunch of martinis for the board of Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company with it. Now I am wondering now I delivered it to auction. Do I owe you anything? I have loved having a martini glass perching lizard visible as I took my cocktails on my deck. I just discovered the cleverly hidden lounging lizard. It's quite a conversational piece and I hope it fetches a pretty penny tomorrow when we raise funds for ArtWalk. Thanks, Marlan, this has been totally fun for me. I've wanted to hang it on a peg for the night, but all pegs are taken by Adieu View, Ms. Bogner's show, or a collection from Beach Breezes Photography. Bother. It would show so well.
