OK, so I passed a few happy hours singing with J & J Karaoke, Lowell MI, Mile 13004

I have this theory that every American poet can improve his command of the American idiom by singing Karaoke. This is an American version of the Druid plan for educating a poet. A druid novice had to memorize thousands of verses from the oral tradition before receiving lessons in prosody secrets. So an American poet has to compensate for the lack of an oral tradition and a poetry apprenticeship by singing Karaoke. I am fine with any path to versification, but I love to check out all the new lyrics by hearing songs at Karaoke bars and looking songs in my head up on Internet lyric sites. Right now, an impromptu foursome of drunk women are singing "You Lost That Loving Feeling" in unison on the sidewalk of Lowell, outside the open door of the Century Post Lounge. America, I love you. I can face your Doo Wop Doo Diddly once again. Thank you, drunk foursome and thank you Righteous Brothers.
