Rumor has it @MonicaLakatos that @Wanderingwilbo is drinking at Canary Inn, North Muskegon

Canary Inn has a short order kitchen and a tap for modestly priced drafts. So I am feasting on a Greek Special and sipping a pint PBR. That's a Pabst Blue Ribbon for those readers who live outside the United States. I have taken a nice picture of an official bust of Commodore Pabst, kept dark in a badly lit hallway of Pabst Hall. The poor commodore gets no love and even his last named is lost when we talk about his beer as PBR. I like the Canary Inn because it's where ambitious plans for the evening go to take it down a few notches. Surely, this has all the qualities of the salubrious Theater Bar in Grand Haven or the genteel Tom's Oyster Bar in Royal Oak MI. I just don't know how to tune into the scene. With Flora my bartender as my guide, I have no idea what I'll discover. Has anyone heard the Shiznits? That's one of several Muskegon bands I haven't heard yet. I guess Chordis Bell has an October 29th concert at a nearby school and the band moves of to Colorado. I hope they make it good there. One of my favorite songstresses made a run at Brooklyn, and she bounced back after a year to Detroit, where she's regarded as a local Barbara Streisand.
