All the parking lots have cars parked in them and most pews have people awaiting the concert. A small brass band performed a work of bright fanfares, and I wondered if were late for the concert. We were asked to squeeze together more closely in the pews and this goes over as well as putting bluebird boxes nearly touching. I better turn off this phone because a friend is trying to reach me and I know she's going to ask for a favor unwise to grant. Her father, from whom she is estranged, attends mass at St. Jean's, an old Catholic French Canadian church next to this church.
