Muskegon Night Owl Express is a pretty good ride for a buck quarter.

So I am sitting in a cozy chair at Barnes & Noble, down by the Lakes
Mall of Muskegon MI. After taking the insider's tour of Muskegon, MI,
I am sitting amongst books and papers, drinking a nice cup of coffee.
In about ten minutes, I'm going to walk over to Target, and ride the
Henry bus to the Old Homestead, where it is 95 Cent beer night. And
then easily wobble home. Or, since last bus stops nearby at 9:45 PM, I
have an option at closing this bookstore. So far, I've chipped pocket
change for some impressive mobility. There's a real urban feeling to
my night in Muskegon tonight. When I picked up on the community on the
bus tonight, I had cable cars in San Francisco brought back to mind. I
could break the spell of any melancholy just by boarding a cable car
and gallavanting around the city. I remember talking to a woman,
young, homeless, and jobless who passed her evenings on the cars,
conversing with the breakmen. She was able to keep clean and fed, with
that community's help, but now had decide to return to her family's
home in the Midwest. The cable car had delivered her. I felt all of
that tonight on MATS.
