@WanderingWilbo rides the Night Owl Express all over Muskegon.

When I boarded the Sherman Bus, the driver thanked me for flagging
down the bus. One can flag down the bus in Muskegon from any safe
corner. Sitting in the front row I discovered a woman who waited on me
at Sangrias, a tapas and wine bistro in Royal Oak, MI, back in 2003.
So we caught up a little, but she kept up her end in the bus
conversation too. A man who lived in one of the projects had lit
himself on fire and his unit too. He had gotten notice to vacate
premises in seven days. The bus driver, Amy, had the story. Soon, a
woman with a wheel chair boarded at a rehab center on Hackley, and her
friend assisted Amy as she strapped the chair securely. Almost
everyone helped and the new passenger proudly showed her glasses off
to driver and friends. Her friend and she deboarded at the Walmart,
and a good crowded boarded with groceries. One woman had purchased a
fresh pomengranate. The Sherman route seems to hit all the big
Muskegon stops, including Scotty's Bar, The YMCA and even the
Frauenthal. At the Ivory terminal, she got off the bus and introduced
me to the Sixth Street driver. I have twice been by the Norton Shores
Meijer, so there's plenty of access to shopping. I am now on the
Harvey Street bus, now waiting for connections at the Muskegon Heights
terminal. I hear it goes all the way south to Pontaluna where factory
jobs await.
